There are Different Types of Meditation that are being practiced by people from all around the world. Meditation has been approximately practiced for thousands of years, so it is no wonder that a broad range of meditation methods has evolved.

There are following three most important types of meditation that is most commonly practiced-

  1. Yoga
  2. Mantra
  3. Mindfulness

Each of these types is unique in their own way but they also poses some similarities.

 1. Yoga Meditation

Yoga is well known term that is famous because it calms both body and brain. It is a kind of exercise that includes meditation.

Meditation is one of the great types of the five principles of yoga, where as the other four kinds includes exercise, diet, relaxation and breathing. Main goal of yoga meditation is to encourage control of both body and brain.

 2. Mantra Meditation

Mantras are words or phrases that you repeat. If you consider of those sadhus mediating, you may visualize them saying- “Ommmm”. It is their mantra. Yours may be that easy or more difficult. You can utilize the word- “calm”. You may say it out silently or loud while you do the meditation.

Vibrations sound of Mantras raises spiritual forces and makes areas of a person’s chakra stronger.

 3. Mindfulness Meditation

Buddhists called mindfulness meditation as “vipassana meditation or insightful”. It is insightful because you become intensely aware yet learn not to respond to both what is physically around you and within your mind.

You generally start to focus on your breathing and then evolution to the thoughts and concepts active around in the brain. Ultimately the thoughts flow by like slow moving clouds and you pay no attention to them. From this type of meditation you learn to become calm and non-judgmental at any moment in your life. It is directly related to psychological freedom and this freedom allows you to pick your own state of mind. It is an extremely successful natural treatment for anxiety, depression and other emotional troubles.

Candle Meditation
